BookOffers.com.au has been putting both the Australian Kindle and the Australian Bebook through their paces over the Christmas period, with one coming out the clear winner.

Which one should you buy? Well unless having the ability to read ebooks in formats that aren’t supported by the Australian Kindle then the choice is clear – The Australian Kindle.

For me, the Australian Kindle is streets ahead of the Bebook, from its ease of use, keyboard, integrated Australian Kindle Store, wireless book delivery and low prices of both the Kindle itself as well as ebooks to read. The Bebook has none of these, having an awkward interface, no integrated store or way of purchasing from within the device, no wifi or 3G and charging $150 more.

The new iSlate/iTablet that maybe coming in January from Apple will give the Australian Kindle a run for its money, but until we know the facts the Australian Kindle is still the best value, best looking and easiest to use eBook Reader on sale in Australia.
