Gentle Satan – Allan Saffron

Posted on August 10th, 2008 by admin in Australia, Biography, Crime, Non-Fiction

Abe Saffron was an Australian nightclub owner and property developer who was widely reputed to have been one of the major figures in Australian organised crime in the latter half of the 20th century.

The ‘King of Kings Cross’, Abe Saffron, died at 86 in late 2006. His will bequeathed large sums to his grandchildren, mistress and illegitimate daughter, but was less munificent to his only son, Alan. This is Alan’s fascinating memoir of his relationship with his father.
