Apple iSlate Slated for January 27
Apple has confirmed they will be holding an event on January 27 in California where it is expected they will announce the new iSlate tablet computer.

The Wall St Journal is reporting today that a possible deal with Harper Collins for enhanced ebooks containing author interviews, animations and social network applications may be in the works as well as Apple holding talks with lots of undisclosed publishers.
The iSlate will be a very serious competitor to the Kindle, however Apple may surprise everyone by doing a content deal with Amazon and supporting Kindle format ebooks.
The expectation is that it will go on sale at a price point of around $750 USD and in Australia it would be priced between $899 and $1,199 between the price of the iPhone 3GS and the cheapest Macbook.
